Building the Financial Capacity of Hartford Residents

HCLF has played a lead role in advocating for the development of a network of Financial Empowerment Centers in Hartford.  The centers would offer Hartford residents financial coaching, employment assistance, and access to public benefits through an integrated approach to service delivery.

Working in collaboration with Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the United Way of Central & Northeastern Connecticut, HCLF is engaged in efforts to develop a network of centers in Hartford which would provide and integrate financial coaching, employment assistance, and help with enrollment in public benefit programs.
